What I have learned in MIS?

An 'MIS' is a planned system of the collecting, processing, storing and disseminating data in the form of information needed to carry out the functions of management. In a way it is a documented report of the activities those were planned and executed.
I have learned so many things about MIS, like how it is important to our life or in our career. It can help us to make desicion right, make our work easier and how to plan or make strategies. Their are so many strategies that you can use to make your business get success.
Also I able to understand how Information system is very important in every transaction you will do. MIS is very wide subject to understand more or to know more. but for me it is a big help in my future by using what I have learned in MIS even it is a 1 term subject.

Assignment no. 4

1. Effectiveness
Degree to which objectives are achieved and the extent to which targeted problems are resolved. In contrast to efficiency, effectiveness is determined without reference to costs and, whereas efficiency means "doing the thing right," effectiveness means "doing the right thing."
2. Efficiency
Comparison of what is actually produced or performed with what can be achieved with the same consumption of resources (money, time, labor, etc.). It is an important factor in determination of productivity.
3. Productivity
Relative
measure of the efficiency of a person, machine, factory, system, etc., in converting inputs into useful outputs. Computed by dividing average output per period by the total costs incurred or resources (capital, energy, material, personnel) consumed in that period, productivity is a critical determinant of cost efficiency.

1. Why strategies and strategic moves is important in a business?
In business, a strategy is a plan designed to help an organization outperform its competitors. business strategy often takes the form of creating new opportunities rather than beating rivals.

2. Illustrate how information systems can give a competitive advantage
It can give maximizing sales and lowering costs. A company achieves strategic advantage by using strategy to maximizr its strenghts, resulting in a competitive advantage.
