1. Closed VS Open System

Closed System - the specifications are kept secret to preview interference from third parties.
Open System - allows third parties to make product that plug into or interoperate with it.

2. What is information System

Refers to interaction between people, process, and technology components of information system.

3. What is Information Map?

Shows the different types of information tha is held by a school or section, and also where that information can be found.

4. Information Technology

Is the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer- based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware.

Assignment no. 1

1. Explain why information system are essentials to business.

Basically, information systems are essential because there is so much data out there that it is more than one person (or even many people) can manage manually. Information systems let you deal with the volume in order to see what is really important for your business.

2. Data VS Information

Data define as: "facts or information to be used as a basis of discussing or deciding something."  At the same time information is defined as "facts told or discovered or facts to be fed to a computer".   In both definition, data and information are assumed to be one and same concept.

3. What is a system?


A system is a collection of elements or components that are organized for a common purpose. The word sometimes describes the organization or plan itself (and is similar in meaning to method, as in "I have my own little system") and sometimes describes the parts in the system (as in "computer system").
